UKGrantmaking is a new interactive platform with information about grantmaking by UK funders. We want this data to be used and useful, so share your thoughts with us and help us to improve this resource.
UKGrantmaking is here!
In June we launched a new collaborative resource— UKGrantmaking— which is an open and free-to-use interactive platform that draws together key data about grantmaking made by UK funders. Partnering with the Association of Charitable Foundations, Association of Charitable Organisations, UK Community Foundations, London Funders, we’ve been on an exciting journey since last year to develop this new resource and our work doesn’t stop there– we’re committed to refining and enhancing the platform, and that’s where we need your help.
Your feedback has already been instrumental in UKGrantmaking’s development (see our blog about how 360Giving uses your insights), and whether you’ve explored UKGrantmaking or not, we want to hear from you.

UKGrantmaking is your resource for data and insights about grantmaking
Since our launch, we’ve had thousands of visits to the platform. Some visitors have dipped in to specific sections, whilst others have looked across the different sections of UKGrantmaking, and sent us messages of praise, critique, suggestions and requests for amendments to be made for next year’s edition. Each piece of feedback we receive helps us to fine-tune the platform to better serve your needs in future editions.
UKGrantmaking is designed to be an invaluable resource for everyone wanting to know more about how much, and how grants are being spent by UK funders, as well as other financial data. As a:
- Grantmaker: you may want to find out how your grantmaking compares to peers and the broader grantmaking field and view who grants were awarded to by funders who published their data using the 360Giving Data Standard.
- Researcher, policy maker or sector media you may be interested in looking at the types of grantmakers and the patterns of grantmaking
- Fundraiser/charity you can use UKGrantmaking to understand the funding picture and help inform your plans
- Curious explorer: you may just be interested in having a look around.
No matter who you are or how you’re using UKGrantmaking, we hope this platform can help you better understand the UK grantmaking landscape. If it’s not meeting your needs yet, we want to know what we can do to improve it. If it is helpful, this will tell us to keep going on the same track!
